NDIS gap assessment and internal audit
Not sure if your policies and records would stand up to an audit? A gap assessment or internal audit shows you exactly where you stand, in plain English, with a clear list of what to fix first.
Gap assessment
A review of your current policies and documents against the NDIS Practice Standards that apply to you.
- A written summary of what's in place and what's missing
- Gaps ranked by priority, so you know what to fix first
- A debrief to walk you through the findings
A gap assessment doesn't include rewriting documents. If you'd like help fixing the gaps, I can quote that separately.
Internal audit
A practice audit that follows the NDIS audit process, so you know what to expect before the real thing.
- Auditor-style questions for you and your key staff
- Sampling of participant and worker files
- A written report of strengths and non-conformities
Which one do I need?
- Choose a gap assessment if you want to know whether your documents cover the Practice Standards.
- Choose an internal audit if your documents are in place and you want to test whether your day-to-day practice matches them.

Common questions
How long does it take? Most gap assessments take one to two weeks once I have your documents. Larger providers can take longer.
Is an internal audit required? Internal audits are part of a good quality management system, and the Practice Standards expect you to monitor and improve your own practice.
